Karin, a Senior Partner at DSI, is a thought leader in the area of adaptive organizations and strategic transformations. She works with clients at the intersection of strategy and organization, and is deeply committed to building and scaling companies that more fully harness the power of talent to realize extraordinary results in the global marketplace. Karin has gained deep perspective in creating and executing strategies while engaging diverse groups towards a shared purpose and aligning the organizational system to generate results.
Karin has played major leadership roles in global consultancies, including Monitor Group and TruePoint, as well as The ClearLake Group, a boutique she co-founded. At Monitor, she was a founder of their talent and leadership business unit, a global leader of the organization practice, and served on the leadership teams of several top client accounts. Karin was the managing partner of Monitor Group’s San Francisco office (the first named to such a role in the company globally). Karin co-led a research initiative on the influence of the Millennial generation in reshaping the face of business and organizations. Karin was nominated by Monitor’s co-Managing Directors for Consulting Magazine’s 2008 Top Women in Consulting Award for Client Service.
Karin graduated summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa with a B.A. from Bowdoin College in Economics and History and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, where she was also recognized with several leadership distinctions. She now serves as a strategic advisor to the President of Bowdoin. Karin is currently working on a book about organizational renewal and adaptation with a working title of: Sparking: Creating and Sustaining an Inventive Organization.
